About This Item

New York: Liveright Publishing, 1943. This complete two-volume set was published in June, 1943, and was known as the "Library Edition." The books are in Very Good Plus condition, and the original unclipped dust jackets are in Good to Very Good condition. The books have light beige cloth covers, and gilt, red, and black spine lettering and borders. The hinges are excellent, the binding is tight and secure, and the pages and bright and sparkling throughout, with no stains, tears, signatures from former owners, etc. They also have top-edge red stain. Both dust jackets have tanning on the spines. Both dust jackets have several cellaphane tape repairs on the spine tips. I have placed both of them into Brodart protective sleeves. Stekel was an orthodox psychoanalyst, but also uses other schools of thought to explain sexual frigidity in women, along with providing extensive case histories and foundations for treatment. This authorized English version was translated by James S. Van Teslaar. Volume One has 304 pages, and Volume Two has 314 pages. Due to the set's weight, domestic Media Mail shipping costs will be adjusted to total $5.50. See photo.. Hard Cover. Very Good +/Good +. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
