A & C Black Ltd. 1928 1st.. 8.25 x 6.0 inches. In green cloth covers with gilt to spine and blind embossed design to front. With illustrated dustwrapper. In very good condition with good dustwrapper. (d/w. Slightly rubbed around edges with small tears and corners slightly rubbed. Not price clipped. With protective plastic wrap). Mild foxing to edges. Slight browning to endpapers. Neat pencil inscription to front endpaper, dated 1928. Occasional foxing spots inside. Else a clean and tight copy. 179 pp. With colour frontis and 16 b/w photograph plates. Stories from real life observations, designed to be read aloud. The author originally told the stories on fine Saturday mornings at the Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens.
