About This Item
Print, 4to, chromolithograph, colored, matted attached to backing board at the top with two small pieces of archival tape. Some aging and browning; otherwise bright and clean. This plate comes from Wright's (1836-1916) celebrated work on fruit (The Fruit Growers Guide). The beautiful plates from this work are credited to Miss Gertrude Hamilton and Marie Low. This chromolithograph features four types of apples, Duchess of Oldenburg, Ribstone Pippin, Ecklinville, and Bramley's Seedling. This plate is extremely colorful and bright.
