Scott, Foresman and Company, 1962. Pre-Publication Copy. Hardcover. Excellent. Wonderful Unique Present! This is definitely one of a kind! The pre-publication copy of "Fun With Our Friends" Signed By all 3 Authors- Helen M. Robinson; Marion Monroe; and A. Sterl Artley. A. Sterl Artley was the last of the three to die, which was in 1998. "This is the pre-publication copy for review only. It was not to be sold or offered for sale."- as stated by a Scott, Foresman and Company sticker on the copyright page. This turned out to be the 1962 First Edition of this book, but there is NO 1962 copyright date and NO number line in this pre-publication copy. The book is neatly signed by all 3 Authors on the first blank end page. The book itself is loaded with written comments by the authors, such as "New Character"; "New Person"; "Plenty of Humor"; "Text at top first time"; "1st Page unillustrated text"; "Importance of lesson plan- Whole Story"; "Idiom"; "New step in structural analysis possessive"; "to, too, two- all have been introduced"; and many more from the authors. As stated from their notes, this is the first Dick and Jane reader to have text at the top of the page with the picture below and the first time there is a page with no picture! This highly collectible Vintage Hardcover Reader is in Very Good Plus condition with a tight binding and mostly clean crisp pages- with really the only markings being the author's notes. The book does not appear to have had much use. It had to have been sitting with someone close to one of the three authors for a long time! NO school stamps or other school markings. This is the Primer from the "Dick and Jane" series. The New Basic Reader from the Curriculum Foundation Series. This was the edition used in the 1960's. Hardback book of 160 pages. This is from the Scott, Foresman and Company Dick and Jane Series. Dick and Jane, Sally, Spot, Puff, Mother and Father are all in this edition! Very nice condition collectible of the classic! Outside covers show some minor wear. Great Collectible condition and it is a classic that truly belongs in a Museum! Great memory for you Baby Boomers! Wonderful to use with your own children.
