About This Item

New York: Reinhold Publishing Corporation, 1967. First edition. Hardcover. Near fine/Very good plus. First edition. Hardcover. INSCRIBED to Bauhaus artist, HERBERT BAYER. (In German). Great association as Neumann wrote, "Herbert Bayer's Photographic Experiments," that was published in 1965. Sm. square quarto. 96pp. Nicely designed with 113 illustrations in mostly in black and white, a few in color. Spine lettering faded on dust jacket that has very light wear.

"This important book documents that astonishingly creative decade -- the 1920's, with its entirely new and functional visual language. The innovative art trends of the twentieth century, which include Cubism, Futurism, and Dadism, have had a determining influence on the development of today's visual language.
