Size is demy octavo (8vo), 8.5"/22cm h. Halfbound (!) in publisher's red paper (boards) and blue-jean blue cloth (spine), red lettering to spine. Glossy color dj features photo of author to back, unidentified maritime coastal scene to front. Deckle edge. Plain white endpapers. [ii] pp prelim material, 183 numbered pp, followed by seven unnumbered. Fifty collected columns from author's writing in the Christian Science Monitor. Condition notes: light wear/foxing to dj, no tears or chips. Marked foxing to top edge, light to tail; light/sparse foxing extends to tops of pages, mostly to front of textblock. A nice, unmarked, square condition, corners bumped, spine ends rolled. We personally inspect every book we offer.

Furrowed Brow Books was established in 2020. The bookstore's owner, Paul Purman, grew up in a magical, historic farmhouse in piedmont Maryland stuffed with books. In 2021 Paul was accepted as a member of the Independent Online Booksellers' Association (IOBA), and graduated from the annual Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar (CABS-Minnesota).
