About This Item
London William Collins Sons, 1984. Hardcover First Edition UK (1984); so stated. First Edition UK (1984); so stated. Very Near Fine in Fine DJ. The Book shows the faintest indications of shelving along the bottom edge of the boards; four extremely tiny spots at the top edge fo the text block; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of any creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. Free of ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, or labels. A handsome very nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing a couple of minor, unobtrusive flaws. Bright and clean. Very close to 'As New'. The DJ is flawless; the price is intact; mylar-protected. Like New. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. (8.1 x 5.35 x 0.5 inches). 63 pages. Language: English. Weight: 7.5 ounces. Hardback with DJ. Story of a Duck and takes place in Northern California. Fup is a wonderfully funny and bittersweet book that really should be read outloud, I read it to my son when he was ten - carefully editing the few obscenities - and we roared with laughter. Dodge is an honerable heir to Vonnegut (my son , now 12, extremely enjoyed "Stone Junction")- the tales are so goofy , and the charactors are quite endearing. As a previous reviewer said, this should be a must-read for teen-agers . Not a slight to adults , but a recognition that Dodge is - like Vonnegut - a neat introduction to the conflicts of identity and choices that maturity encompasses.
