About This Item
New York: The Macmillan Company, 1954. First Edition, Thus. Hardcover. Near Fine/Fine. 4to, unpaginated. First Edition Thus, two volumes in one. Original blue cloth with titles stamped in gilt. Five Thousand photographs of period furniture, furnishings, and architectural details. Square, tight and clean throughout with perhaps a hint of wear to spine ends and tips but very minor. Extremely well-preserved, particularly for a book of this size and weight. From the library of George Howell, noted 40-year Architect of Rutgers University with his bookplate affixed to the front paste-down. A beautiful collectable copy of a quite uncommon title. Will require some extra postage as this is an extremely heavy book.
