The author speaks of the totally inadequate forces England was sending to America, and discusses the just causes of America's revolt, among other statements, remarking, "that no reason can demonstrate the right of Great Britain to tax America or of America to tax Great Britain." " A collection of satires and parodies by Richard Tickell and others, purporting to be the competitive essays of Thomas Warton's rivals for the laureatship." ESTC T126547.
