About This Item
New York: The John Day Company, 1942. First edition of Drucker's second book. Octavo, original cloth. Boldly signed by Peter F. Drucker on the front free endpaper. An excellent example in a very good dust jacket. Housed in a custom half morocco clamshell box. Uncommon, especially signed. This book has but one topic: How can an industrial society be built as a free society? This is the only book by Drucker in which he systematically develops a basic social theory. He presents the requirements for any society to be functioning and legitimate, and then applies these general concepts to the special.
