Boston: Colby & Rich. G. 1890. Judge's introduction tells of joining a circle who met at the home of Mrs. Fish where a Mrs. Sweet ws being developed as a . medium. She sometimes because loud and violent which repulsed him. But he learned this violence was because of her opposition & resistance to the influence and a power out of their hands. He wrote down with care what happened and was said as did her husband. Edmonds came to consider her as one of the most reliable of all the mediums that he had seen. Upon her death in 1859, her husband began to write down all that happened and has now published them. They are a series of encounters with spirits through the medium Elizabeth Sweet. Binding worn, foxing on beginning & ending pages, owner name ft endpaper. .
