The demand for international sanctions to stop apartheid is given a moral, legal, economic and military survey. Controversial, costly suggestions are worked out for reducing Britain's encouragement of apartheid, and special attention is given to the critical issue of South-West Africa. But the study's main concern is with South Africa's own long-term prospects. There is still some hope of an alternative to the disaster of a race-war, and Christians, inside and outside the Republic, have great opportunities in the time that remains.
