London, at the Daily Mail Ideal Home Exhibition, 1934.. 6 postcards published for the Daily Mail in 1934 contained in original printed envelope. 6 marvellous sepia photos of a model house designed by Heath Robinson for the Exhibition. No.1 shows a cross section of the entire house, the rest: The Kitchen, The Dining Room, The Nursery, The Bedroom and The Garden, each rigged up with all manner of crazy gadgets, with the various members of the family making use of them. The cards are in Fine condition, the envelope slightly worn at the edges and slightly browned. Beare gives the background to the cards: 'The Gadgets' was nearly 20 ft high on a site 50 ft by 30 ft and peopled with more than 30 life-like moving figures, all busy about their daily tasks'.
