The book is clean and tight except for the owner's embossed stamp on the half-title page. The jacket is price-clipped and lightly edgeworn. Inscribed and signed on the front free endpaper by the Russian opera singer Galina Vishnevskaya to Chicago-based musician Donald Knight.

Synopsis

This autobiography is a luminous portrait of a Soviet artist, richly woven against the backdrop of Soviet History. Translated by Guy Daniels.
