Brown blind stamped boards lightly soiled and shelfworn, with sun-fading to bottom edges and spine strip. Gilt on spine strip completely rubbed. Internally brown end-papers clean, with a small previous owners bookplate to inside front board and a bookseller ticket to inside rear board. There is an old damp stain to lower quarter of first couple pages which becomes progressively smaller and less noticable as you turn the pages, completely disappearing by page192. Besides the stain, a very good, clean copy. The binding is tight and hinges intact. *Author was Uncle of Theodore Roosevelt.
