About This Item

This is the first edition, first impression of Katherine Mansfield's most famous collection of short stories first published in 1922. The collection includes the eponymous short story, "The Garden Party", "The Stranger", "At The Bay", "The Voyage" and others. This was Mansfield's second collection of short stories and the last published in her lifetime, yet she has become one of the most loved modernist writers, even leading Virginia Wolff to say she was jealous of Mansfield's writing. Leaf 93/94 has a notable tear with minor loss. Boards have moderate wear with some splits to spine edge. Light bumps to corners and fraying to spine ends. Light staining to rear board.
