Considers the life and art of American artist Julius Garibaldi Melchers (1860-1932). With introduction by William Gerdts, edited by Richard S. Reid. 66 page illustrated essay on the art and life of the artist. A very authoritative work and a good introduction to Melchers. Belmont is the Gari Melchers Memorial Gallery, where the bulk of the artist's estate was deposited.
