Melchers, a Dutch painter from the 19th century, was the subject of a Retrospective exhibition in 1990. This book is the catalogue of the exhibit which has 29 full color plates. 59 b&w pictures fro mthe catalogue of the exhibit, with details and provenance. Several chapters on Melchers and his work. Text unmarked. Spine tight. Upper left corner verso endpapers is folded. Rear cover has some wear at top and lower left corner is not pointed. Spine has a crease across about 3/4 of the way up. Green endpapers front & back. Some dirt across page edges at top
