New York:Robert Carter & Brothers. 1864. 440pp. Illustrated with 8 color lithographs by Vincent Brooks.In very good condition. Blue boards with blind stamped borders and decorations in gilt in the center and on the spine. The gilt has faded but still quite visible. There is light wear to edges and points. Brown end-papers have previous owners signatures in pencil (not really noticeable) with more notes on the verso of the end-page. Otherwise, save for an occasional smudge or very slight bit of foxing, a very good clean copy.
