About This Item

New York, NY, U.S.A.: Harlequin Books, 1974. First Edition . Mass Market Paperback. Very Good. 189 pages. October 1974 Edition. Store stamps on endpapers. That annoying Dutchman Everard van Tijlen had rubbed Charity Dawson the wrong way from almost the first moment they met, and things didn't imporove at all as they saw more and more of each other. It was work, not romance, that threw them together, both in England and Holland, and as he was a very distinguished doctor and she only a humble member of the nursing staff. Charity was more or less obliged to put up with his overbearing ways and sarcastic remarks. But at one point she was stung to retort, I hope you will believe me when I say I dislike you more than anyone else I know! Perhaps it was just as well that he didn't take her words too seriously!
