Ticknor and Fields, 1866 Original Maroon Cloth, gilt to cover and spine. Embossed design on back cover. Small white dot on front and a bit of soiling. Piece missing from bottom of spine. Corners are frayed, spine sides have some rubbing and a small crack on top. Brown endpapers with a small embossed name. A bit of foxing on ffep and an owner's signature in pencil on free page. Pages are clean and beautifully illustrated by Winslow Homer and many others. Gilt on top and bottom. Book is tight.
