The present copy is number 167. General Crrok had thrity three years of successful Civil War and Indian campaigns. He pursued the Apaches so relentlessly that on March 25, 1886, Geronomo requested a conference to discuss terms of surrender. A fine bright copy bound in 1/4 black cloth over gold cloth covered boards, spine lettering gilt, house within publisher's cloth covered slipcase.
