Original light brown cloth, spine lettered in gilt, with the rarely seen dust-wrappers, printed in red and black, not price-clipped; pp. 78, [2, blank], Williamson's owl device at the end of the text; wrappers a little faded and spotted, small flaws to head and tail of spine; light spotting to endpapers, minimal spotting elsewhere, otherwise a very good copy. First edition, first impression. Genius of Friendship prints letters from Lawrence to Williamson, with reminiscences of Lawrence and commentary upon the letters by Williamson. - A beautifully designed and typeset book production, issued during the hight of the Second World War.
