Frontispiece mounted, with loss of two letters in the caption, some light foxing, faint library stamp on titlepage. Good. Styled the "Third Edition, Revised" on the titlepage, continuing the history to Oct. 9, 1813. The appendix includes a lengthy description of Niagara Falls. The woodcut frontispiece is captioned, "Perry's Victory" and illustrates the conflict of July 23, 1813, between Perry's fleet and that of the British, near Erie. SABIN 83621. SHAW & SHOEMAKER 29804.
