Childs, 526pp, illustrated with many woodcuts and drawings, bound in dark blue patterned cloth with gold lettering on spine and two fossil illustrated in gold on front cover. CONDITION: Cover has slightest wear - cloth worn through on very tips of outer corners, gold lettering on spine a little dulled; page edges lightly foxed, binding tight and square, first owner's name and date (Sept 17 1863) in light pencil on front free endpaper and on first white page, interior otherwise like new.
