This volume focuses on the World War II years when the U.S. engaged Axis forces in Europe and General Marshall was a top strategist and administrator of the effort in his role as Army Chief of Staff. Cloth, 683 pages, illustrated. Book Three of the George C. Marshall Bio. Book in good condition; denim spine w/silver & gold letters over maroon cloth w/4 gold stars. Map of Pacific Theater for paste down front and back. Dedicated to 2nd Lt. Allen Tupper Brown. Foreword by Gen. Omar N. Bradley. Many B&W photos. Binding tight, pages unmarked, but show age toning, Book shows edge wear to top and bottom & points. DJ in fair condition with noticeable edge wear, tears, and notching. DJ has rubbing and wear on creases with age toning. DJ encased in Brodart book protector. Images available upon request. .
