About This Item

New York: St. Martin's Press. Fine in Near Fine dj. 1991. 2nd printing. Hardcover. [book itself is as-new, with no discernible wear; jacket equally nice, with just a bit of wrinkling at the top of the spine]. (B&W photographs) SIGNED by the author (no inscription) in red ink on the title page. "A Biography of the Gentleman Director," as the cover blurb has it, with particular emphasis on Cukor's homosexuality -- although McGilligan is more scholar than muckraker, and thus the book is (as Andrew Sarris is quoted as saying) "equally insightful about the life and the art" of the director. ****NOTE that additional postage charges will be assessed for international shipping of this moderately heavy book; if this concerns you, please contact us for a shipping quote before placing your order.**** Signed by Author .

About ReadInk

Now in our 24th year of on-line bookselling, ReadInk offers an eclectic selection of quality books in a variety of subject areas. We are dedicated to the first-class treatment of every book we sell and its new owner (our customer). All orders and inquiries receive our prompt, personal attention. Our grading of a book's condition is conservative ("Fine" is our highest grade, and used sparingly); all significant flaws are described, but we will be happy to provide additional information and/or a scanned image upon request. Your book will be shipped promptly, well-wrapped and securely packaged; the dust jacket, if any, will be enclosed in a new Brodart cover.
