Portrait at frontispiece tissue guarded. 25 portraits and 3 facsimilia (all checked). V.g. in maroon cloth with gilt inlay, motif and lettering and lines on front board, and same to spine. Gilt to top edge of textblock. Front and bottom edge uncut. New end-papers at front professionally replaced. Old booksellers label fixed to rear paste-down. The front joint shows some wear, and also to head and tail of spine. No inscriptions. This is a sound, tight, clean copy of a rather scarce title. (2485)
