About This Item

Boston and New York: Printed for Houghton Mifflin Company by The Riverside Press, Cambridge, 1926. First Edition . Hardcover. Good+/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. xv, (i), 65pp. This book was part of an institutional rare book collection, with the only library treatment being an ink-stamp to the verso of title-page. Bookseller's label (Chas. E. Lauriat Co., Boston) to lower, front free endpaper. Volume is bound in 1/4 cream colored cloth with green paper covered boards. Lettering on largely nice label on spine is clear and bright. Light soiling and wear to exterior, with a little heavier wear to corners of boards, though none of this is offensive. Mild tanning to paper. Mild soiling to just a few pages, including title-page. Text clean. Binding sound. Nicely illustrated with black and white facsimiles. The bookseller's name on the label is the same Charles Lauriat who was on the Lusitania when it sank, though he was rescued
