In fine condition with near fine dustwrapper (dw; Not price clipped). A very clean and tight copy. 234 pp. With b/w and colour photographs and diagrams. Of the many superior clocks made in England from 1714 to 1830, the majority were bracket clocks. The author traces the development of the bracket clock through the period with many illustrations of the clocks and their movements. The concluding chapter gives guidance on the purchase, repair and restoration of the clocks and gives examples of typical problems.
