No date, circa 1940, very good hardcover shows some foxing to covers, page edges, end papers and to a few spaces within, in good jacket (4.00 price present) with some edge wear including large open chip at top edge of rear and shallow open chipping at spine head. 415 pages with some black & whites. Solid copy of this work from the novelist better known for his criticism.
