Ford and White House Press Secretary Jerald terHorst.. Octavo, xiv, 245pp. Blue cloth, title stamped in gilt. This copy is a book club edition. Light rubbing to lower edge of cloth, solid text block. In the publisher's near fine book club dust jacket, bright illustrations, light shelf wear. Signed on the front free endpaper: "To Louis _ , with the hope that the hours spent reading this book on President Ford will profitably reflect the years I have spent covering him. J.F. terHorst." Additional signature from President Ford below inscription. Jerry terHorst (1922-2010) was the White House Press Secretary during the first month of the Ford Administration and a longtime friend of Gerald R. Ford. He resigned in light of Ford's pardon of President Nixon and quickly authored this book on the new president.
