Binding of black full cloth with bright and bold gilt titles, few grayish small areas on front, rather insignificant. Tight and solid, square with sharp corners. Some raggedness at endpapers inner hinge, unusual, can't tell exactly what from. Otherwise internals are as new. Bright and clean unclipped dust jacket has just slight rumpling along some edges. A handsome volume. 478 pages with bibliography and index. 9.25 x 6.25 inches. Harper & Row, New York, 1987.
