Front hinge cracked and repaired with cloth tape; binding and rear hinge sound. Pages clean, tanned. Tasso's portrait on frontispiece (engraving). Cloth over boards is shelf worn and edge worn, especially at corner tips. Spine and joints reinforced with cloth tape, making a sturdy volume. ; Epic poem by the Italian poet Torquato Tasso, first published in 1581. It tells a largely mythified version of the First Crusade in which Christian knights, led by Godfrey of Bouillon, battle Muslims in order to take Jerusalem. ; Ex-Library; 4.5" tall; 659 pages.
