The scene of this novel is laid chiefly in the country beyond the North-West Frontier of India, and tells of the experiences and adventures of a British Officer of an Indian Lancer Regiment (Napier's Horse), who, for what he considered good and sufficient reasons, turned Pathan, and lived with the Tribesmen as one of themselves." Octavo. Original red cloth binding, with gilt titles. The dust jacket is price-clipped, with a bit of toning along the spine and folds; otherwise very good.
