About This Item
London: Methuen, 1964. First Edition . Hardcover. Near Fine/Very Good. This is a first edition, with the "First published 1964" statement present on the verso of the title page. The interior of the book is crisp and clean, with no marks or wear. The dark blue covers are fresh, with just a touch of wear at edges and corners. The gilt spine lettering and decoration are still bright. The bottom corner of the dust jacket flap is clipped, with a new price ($2.50) added on the top corner. The jacket is in Very Good condition, with litle wear overall, but fraying to the top and bottom of the spine. The attached scan should give a better idea of condition. The jacket is now in a protective mylar cover. Synopsis: A picture book (28 p.) telling the story of how the Giant Alexander, tall as two telegraph posts on top of one another, walked to London and spring-cleaned Nelson's Column, follower by tea with the Lord Mayor.
