NY & London: Putnam's, 1909. First edition of this version.. Red pictorial cloth designed and lettered in gilt. 373pp. One leaf of ads at the rear. 24 color plates. A very bright and attractive copy, some faint rubbing and a pictorial bookplate on the inner front cover. A very nice copy. An attractive re-packaging of the Tim Pippin fantastic adventures, originally published ca.1874 in a variety of editions in series such as "Our Young Folks Two-shilling Story Books" and "Red Lion House Story Books". See WorldCat for details on some early editions. This 1909 edition is quite nice, and difficult to find in such clean condition. Original titles included: Giant-land, or, The wonderful adventures of Tim Pippin.
