With 20 miles of track and using Shay locomotives, the Gilpin Tramway served as a main artery for the flow of ore from the mines above Central City to the smelters at Blackhawk. 112 pages of text, photographs, several maps, locomotive diagrams, and rosters. Large folded map in rear pocket. Fine in near fine, bright dust jacket with long crease along the rear flap.
