Corners bumped, cellophane peeling at side of spine - still a reasonable copy in this fragile binding. . First edition. Fourth title in this series featuring the 14 year old daughter of a newspaper publisher. Illustrated with both full-page duotone drawings and chapter headings by Margaret Wesley. Campbell is best known as the author of the original books in the Trixie Belden series. Advertisement at back of book lists only titles in the Trixie series, etc. 282 pp plus 2 pp of publisher's ads.
