About This Item

Cecil Palmer & Hayward, 1916. 1st Edition. Hardcover. NF/NF. BRANGWYN, Frank. 1st Trade Edition. 19.2 x 25.7 cm brown cloth with black stamped titles and decoration and titles to the front and a white label with black title to the spine. Top edge brown, other edges uncut. (x) 78(6)pp with decorative borders in orange to each text page and 4 full page tissue-guarded colour plates by Frank Brangwyn. The book comes with its original dust jacket with decorations echoing the cover and a 7/6 red price sticker to the spine. The book is in lovely condition clean and bright with the merest touch of shelfwear. Internally there is no name, inscription or bookplate and the merest hint of toning to the very edge of some of the uncut pages. The dust jacket, which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown), is surprisingly well preserved with a touch of toning to the spine and a little rubbing to the price label corners and spine tips with minimal loss to the joints at the head of the spine and top corners. All in all a beautiful collectable 1st Edition copy. Rainford & Parris Books welcomes enquiries, so please do not hesitate to ask if you require further images or have any questions. All books are packaged with great care.
