Octavo; [x], 341pp. Publisher's first state yellow cloth with black lettering and decoration (Currey's Binding A). Missing dust jacket. Boards a bit shelfworn; cloth a bit smudged and soiled; spine slightly cocked and darkened, with tugging at ends and a small split at tail. Opens flatly between gatherings, but binding is sound. Pages unmarked.
Currey notes the text differs from the Methuen edition published the year prior.
