Clean black cloth boars with gold glove and rose decoration on cover with gold "presentation copy" lettering stamped on front board; gold stamped lettering on spine. No bumping or wear. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Front free endpaper inscription: May 1952 - Please accept this book as a token of our esteem and appreciation for your friendship across so many years. To you we are deeply grateful. - Hughston M. McBain." There is a small "70" at top edge of front free endpaper, otherwise no marks. Liberally illustrated with photographs and drawings. 384 pages with index. Nice jacket designed by Georgette Roux is clean, has slight edge wear, no chips, not price clipped; enclosed in new archival quality removable mylar cover.
