Macmillan Company, 1967. 1st Edition. Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. Byfield, Barbara Ninde. 10" x 8". First edition, first printing of Byfield's 'Lexicon of the Fantastical': a witty, illustrated, alphabetical introduction to the emerging conventions of the fantasy genre. Later reprinted by Doubleday as 'The Book of Weird', it has entertained generations of readers and influenced generations of writers. Minor wear to the edges of the unclipped dust jacket, particularly the upper edge of the spine. Red cloth cover has minor bumps to the corners and the edges of the spine. Tan endpapers, 160 pages, clean and unmarked.
