New York: G. P. Putnam's Sons, 1963. First Edition. Near Fine/Near Fine. First edition, first printing. Signed by Robert A. Heinlein on the title page. Bound in publisher's original black cloth stamped in green. Near Fine with faint soiling to cloth, light wear to spine ends. In a Near Fine unclipped dust jacket with light creasing and wear at the edges, thin band of offsetting to blindside from an old jacket protector. A lovely copy of the Hugo-nominated novel, signed by the author.
Synopsis
Glory Road is a fantasy novel by Robert A. Heinlein, originally serialized in The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction (July - September 1963) and published in hardcover later the same year. Heinlein himself reported that the book only took several weeks and was a lot of fun to write; some of his other works, such as Stranger in a Strange Land and The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress, required several years and were relatively difficult. Glory Road was nominated for the Hugo Award in 1964.
