Faber & Faber. London. 1942. First edition. DW. Presentation copy - "January 1943 For Troup (Sp?) From his friend Cyril Joad." with a short typed letter, also signed, loosely inserted, dated 1950. The last owner of this book was the writer on religion, Margaret Stutley, and has some of her pencil annotations. Occ. foxing o/w VG+ in foxed and dulled wrapper that has a few close tears to extremities, lacks small portion to head of spine and internally reinforced by tape along bottom edge.
