About This Item
Cape. 1943. (10921) Hardback. 256 pages. V.g. in red cloth with gilt lettering to spine, top edge of textblock coloured red, slight ageing to front and bottom edges of textblock, in a good d.w. showing a little wear to edges. No markings or inscriptions. A tight sound clean copy. Here is the whole story from the days of the woad-stained Britons, through the great mixing of the races, Angle and Saxon, and Celt and Dane, through the long years of political development, the growth of self-government, of Parliament, of the Puritan tradition, down to the present time - seen through American eyes.
