About This Item
Toronto: Privately Published, 1948. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket, As Issued. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. pp: 56. FIRST EDITION. Bound in dark green cloth covered boards with lettering and illustration stamped in gilt. A treatise on the mechanics of golfing writing by the son of George Cumming (1879-1950), generally recognized as the Dean of Canadian Golfers. The book is a combination of his self-taught skills, and the lessons he reluctantly learned from his father. This is a very good copy with some fading of the gilt on the boards; to be expected after some 75 years. Elsewhere, there is light shelf wear, and bumping at the corners. An uncommon book on Canadian golf history.
