This is a French language edition of "Goethe et Beethoven" by Romain Rolland. 1930; Editions du Sablier; Paris. Limited edition - this copy is #338. The book is richly illustrated with photographs, music sheets, engravings and drawings throughout. Leather spine with marbled covers, marbled end papers, a ribbon page marker, and gilt top page edges. The book is written entirely in French.
Condition:
There is chipping to the leather at the top edge of the spine; light wear at the bottom of the spine. Sharp cover corners. Bright gilt top page edges. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. Nice interior - the text pages are lightly age-toned and clean with no notable issues found. Heavier tanning to the end papers. Tiny tear at the outer edge of the front end paper. The rear end paper has 2 names written in both pen and pencil. Overall the book is in Very Good condition.
