Hardcover with dust jacket, published by Duell, Sloane & Pearce, 1940. This is a second printing copy from 1940. The dust jacket is intact and is not price clipped, original price of $3.00 is printed on the top corner of the front flap. Jacket has been protected with a clear, removable cover. Jacket has edge wear and light creases to the top edge, chip wear to the head and heel of the spine of about 1/8 inch, 1/2 inch closed tear and crease mark to the bottom edge of the front panel, edge wear to the right side of the back panel and some rubbing wear marks on the spine. 'Fish out of water' satire about Irish born Ousley, who moves to England, hilarious shenanigans ensue. who 294 pages, rough edged text block, blue coarse textured cloth covered boards with the title and author name on both the spine and cover. A few dots of edge wear to the head and heel of the spine and to the tips of the corners. This is not a remainder, not a library discard. No writing on the text pages, no former ownership marks. The binding is tight and square. Edges of the text block are relatively clean considering the age of the book. Blue topstain of the text has faded. A solid copy. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
