Chicago, Illinois: Pascal Covici, 1927. 406 pages. Beautiful book in blue cloth covered boards with gilt lettering and decoration on the cover and the spine. This first trade edition was limited to 2,000 copies. Book is very scarce in dust jacket. Head and tail overhang of spine slightly bent. All four corners have been slightly bumped. Pages have some toning. Top edge of papers have been slightly dented in. Dust jacket has several small chips missing all around the edges along with some rubbing in the same areas. A very night tight copy. Book covers everything from the history of the alphabet to the invention of printing to modern typography.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Good. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Hard Cover.
